i love the green to grow bottles but the nipples are wierd. The slow nipple is too slow and the medium nipple is too fast. I am currently using the born free bottles as well and i tried using the born free nipples with the green to grow bottles but it keeps collapsing. They definetely need to come up with better nipples.

We've been using Born Free for over 4months now and NEVER had a problem with leaking. EVER! charlotte's mom must have been doing something wrong. I'm glad to know avent nipples fit the Born Free bottles. so much cheaper! I've also always washed the BF bottles by hand.

I use the Born Free Glass Vented Bottles. I have no problems with leaking bottles and my son easily transitions between the breast and this bottle. I always wash the bottles by hand and never in the dishwasher. Maybe this is why I do not have a problem with leaks. I feel like there are more parts and pieces with the Dr Brown bottles to clean and put together than the Born Free.

Also, I meant to add that with the current G2G beginner nipples I am using, it takes my son 1 hour and 15 mins to drink 120mls of milk. Surely this can't be normal? He's feeding every 4 hours but the time inbetween feeds is getting less and less as his feeds go up. By the time I have him on 180mls per feed in the next few weeks, its going to take a good 2 hours to finish a bottle.... with the result being less sleep time, and more upset for him (and I). I have tried the intermediate nipples but the hole is massive and the milk gushes out. The packet states they are for 3-6 months, but I wouldn't even give them to him then! The poor little man choked and nearly gave me a heart attack. As you can see I am desperate for help with the whole feeding issue!!!!!

Ok I am very confused.... and desperately in need of help!!!!

Everyone here is talking about G2G wide neck bottles, but I have G2G regular neck bottles. My son is 4 weeks old and I have had him back and forth to the doctor with his painful wind problem.... the poor thing is screaming in agony after every feed. He screams until he's purple and he vomits. I am desperate to try some nipples other than the G2G ones, but I have no idea which will fit the regular neck. Does anyone know? Please, please, please help. I cannot stand to see him in this pain any longer!!

P.S. I live in the UK

Are NUK baby bottle safe. They are made in germany where I heard they have stronger regulations but I once heard that they are not safe. Does anyone know?

And what about beaba? I bought one bottle in France and cannot find info either.

Thanks,

Just wanted to post that the Nuby replacement nipples ARE sold separately. I found the wide ones at my local Giant grocery store. I didn't realize they were for Nuby bottles at first, the cardboard back of the package is yellow and I believe it said something like Cottontails on it? If anyone is interested in exactly what the packages says I could check next time I go there. I bought some myself to try in GTG bottles but my babies didn't like them

I realize that you can buy them online as well, but I did want to post this info because I know at times it's more convenient to buy replacement nipples as I need them instead of waiting for them to come in the mail
