Adiri the Amazing Bottle: A Mother’s Story from the NICU

I recently received an email from a well-seasoned Mommy who shared her ordeal with the premature birth of her baby. Here’s her amazing Adiri story:

I love the Adiri Natural Nurser. As a breastfeeding Mom it’s the most natural product that comes the closest to Mama’s breast. It allows my husband or a family member to take part in my son’s feedings or to administer his medications that require mixing with my breast milk. It’s an ingenious product.

I had a hard time using the NICU bottles with my baby, then I discovered the new Adiri Natural Nurser and was amazed at how much both my little man and myself loved them. I even had the original Adiri Breastbottle, but when I saw this product I was excited to see they were made with safe plastic materials that wouldn’t harm my son or make him sick. He’d already had a rough go of it being born at 33 weeks gestation with a PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus, a heart problem) and GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease).

She went on to describe how the hospital responded to the introduction of the strange, but wonderful Adiri bottles:

It’s a gift that keeps on giving, those bottles are just amazing. I showed them to the Lactation Consultant in the NICU and she was so amazed and starry eyed about them that she begged me to borrow one to show her collegues in her department. She now recommends them to all the Mamas who come through their NICU as an alternative to the “sposie” bottles (the disposable, one use bottles they use in the NICU).

When I asked permission to share her story with other parents of preemie babies, this was her reply:

I enjoy sharing my experiences with the Adiri bottle! I hope that it can change the life of another Mama who might be looking for an alternative, safe plastics bottle that may make the difference in a breastfeeding relationship. Sometimes the bottle used can make or break a breastfeeding relationship and I am so glad that Adiri helped make my breastfeeding relationship work.

Since then, she’s passed on her Adiri bottles to another NICU Mama and even bought another Mama the Natural Nursers, as she was going back to work and her little girl wasn’t taking to the “normal bottles” very well.
