Thinkbaby, LLC recently blasted onto the scene with a new line of BPA free baby bottles and training cups. I discussed the company’s impressive background and goals in another post you can read here.
Think Baby first caught my attention when I saw that they were recommended by Healthy Child Healthy Word, a non-profit organization formed to protect the health and well being of children from harmful environmental exposures. When Healthy Child gives their seal of approval, I listen.
Think Baby Bottle Features:
The 5oz and 9oz baby bottles include a unique anti-colic nipple and have been specifically formulated to be free of Bisphenol-a, Phthalates, PVC, Nitrosamines and Lead. They are made from a safer, durable and heat resistant plastic called PES (Polyethersulfone) and are a warm honey color.
- Patented venting system reduces incidence of gas and spit up
- Comes complete with a Stage One (Slow Flow) Nipple
- Extra soft nipples made from high grade silicone provide easier transition from breastfeeding to bottle feeding
- Top-rack dishwasher safe
- Packaged in 100% recycled material
- All Think Baby bottle and training cup parts are interchangeable
The venting system is built into the nipple, so there are no extra parts to wash or worry about losing. The vent consists of a small tube extending down from the nipple leading to a small opening in the outer ring of the nipple. It works great to allow air flow and decrease vacuum inside the bottle.
Think Baby Training Cup Features:
The 9oz training cup is also made of P.E.S. and are free of Bisphenol-a and toxic chemicals. The spout is designed for the next step in your child’s feeding.
- Silicone spout makes transitioning from breastfeeding or bottle easier
- Easy to grip handles
- Dishwasher safe – top rack recommended
- Packaged in 100% recycled materials
- All Think Baby bottle and training cup parts are interchangeable
This is a leak-resistant cup; the spout has in interesting design at the tip that keeps the liquid from flowing when the child isn’t drinking. It will drip if shaken upside down.
UPDATE 4/24/08: Think Baby has released new slower flow cross cut nipples. The bottle twin packs still include the original flow. You can find the new nipples here.
