NEWLY UPDATED  9/19/08 (based on new info provided by Sassy)

Sassy has been so helpful in providing complete material lists since the very beginning. Now they’re working with us on an expanded list of products that are BPA, PVC and phthalate free.

We created a new Quick Reference Guide on Squidoo to help streamline your shopping experience. As usual, we’ll continue to add more products as we complete more research.

You can add the “Lively Links” to your list. I received this email from Sassy:

Dear Elisabeth: Thank you for your email. The Lively Links are BPA-free. All of our products are phthalate-free. Be assured we only use safe non-toxic materials. The safety of the children using/playing with our products is our primary concern, and all of our products meet and exceed all safety standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM). Best Regards, Judy/Sassy/MAM Consumer Relations

Hi, I was just reviewing the list of Sassy products that you recently have sold and now learned they contain BPA. I have most of those items that I purchased back in 2006 for my older daughter. I see that the bowl in the bowl/spoon set has only the handle of the spoon containing BPA – so would the bowl be safe from 2006 as well or is this only referring to products made this year? Thanks!

  6. Hillary says:

Why do Sassy products not state on their packaging that the products are BPA free?
Also, what’s the ‘clock’ symbol on the Sassy products — was looking for the triple arrow recycle symbol and found the clock instead.
    Thanks for the info!

I am expecting my first baby in early 2010 and am looking for Sassy products that are BPA free. The lists you have are very helpful, except that they are from 2008 and now NEW Sassy products out in the stores. Do you have an updated list?
Thanks so much for your help!
