Stainless Steel Thermos Coffee Mug Review

I dare you to take his mug . . .
“I dare you to try and wrestle his coffee mug away”

I was working on a schedule for upcoming product reviews when my brother-in-law walked into our warehouse with his beloved Thermos mug.  Thinking back, I realized that I hadn’t seen him without it lately!   Well, that made my choice of which review to do next an easy one.

Jason and I both agree that no one does it like Thermos when it comes to insulated coffee mugs.  He’s one of those people that likes to have a cup of coffee available all day.  He described feeling amazed the first time he used one.

I leave the house in the morning with a full cup in my Thermos and sip on it until I get to work, leaving the rest for my drive home in the afternoon.  When I return to my truck, the coffee is still warm.  This is so amazing because we live in the Midwest and it gets very cold here in the winter – but the temperatures are no challenge for this cup.

The other features I like about the Thermos Grande Tumbler is its large 18oz size and heavy-duty construction.  It has a flip top drink cover that secures nicely and it also fits in my truck’s cup holder, so I don’t have to worry about it spilling.

I don’t think I’ll be looking for a new insulated coffee cup anytime soon.

It's still warm!
“Give it up and go get your own”

  • This is a good thermos coffee mug. It's been almost an all in one coffee tool.
  • Very great review. I'm convinced that I should have this kind of thermos.
  • Awesome!...

are you aware that 18/8 stainless steel can still leach, esp if acidic and hot things are stored in it? I've read that it can leach nickel......
still looking for a glass lined thermos that is not coated with plastic....
thanks for all this great research!

We have three similar stainless steel "mugs" by Thermos (which we purchased at WalMart for about $10 each), and I actually use them daily for my ice water. A GREAT alternative to plastic bottles (environmentally and health-wise), and my water literally stays ICE COLD all day long! I am a nursing mama, so I carry tons of water with me all the time, and in addition I leave a full one in my baby girl's room each night for those night-time wakings and her first-thing-in-the-morning feed. Ten hours after I fill it with cold filtered water and an ice cube it is still ice cold! LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!
  • I purchased this coffee mug as well. I use it for tea mainly and I swear I had my tea in it for 3 hours and it was still really hot, amazing! Love this mug and wouldn't use anything else. Thanks TSL!
  • Okay, you have sold me. My home office is in my basement and when the nanny comes I fill a cup of coffee and head downstairs but it is cold before long. I need this cup! Great review.
