This is a good thermos coffee mug. It's been almost an all in one coffee tool.

are you aware that 18/8 stainless steel can still leach, esp if acidic and hot things are stored in it? I've read that it can leach nickel......
still looking for a glass lined thermos that is not coated with plastic....
thanks for all this great research!

We have three similar stainless steel "mugs" by Thermos (which we purchased at WalMart for about $10 each), and I actually use them daily for my ice water. A GREAT alternative to plastic bottles (environmentally and health-wise), and my water literally stays ICE COLD all day long! I am a nursing mama, so I carry tons of water with me all the time, and in addition I leave a full one in my baby girl's room each night for those night-time wakings and her first-thing-in-the-morning feed. Ten hours after I fill it with cold filtered water and an ice cube it is still ice cold! LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!

Okay, you have sold me. My home office is in my basement and when the nanny comes I fill a cup of coffee and head downstairs but it is cold before long. I need this cup! Great review.
